JAH PRAYZAH BIO

Is a Zimbabwean singer, songwriter and performer whose real name is Mukudzeyi Mukombe. He was born on 4th July 1987 and he is also known as Musoja which is a Shona word for Soldier. He has been mainly performing on the fine line of Afrobeats and Afro Jazz and he is also one of the frontline acts in the Zimbabwean music industry.

Career Beginnings and Breakthrough
He started his studies at Musamhi Primary School and later joined Musamhi High School in Mashonaland Zimbabwe. He later moved to Harare which is Zimbabwe's capital to stay with him and it is where he completed his High School education.

As a child the Tchineke hitmaker lived a normal life in a family of five where he was the last born and he liked writing, swimming in the rivers with friends and playing Mbira with his teacher Mupa Musimbe, an activity that inspired him to become a musician later on.

His music career kicked off in 2005 but it was until 2007 that he released his debut album titled Sungano. His two successful singles which are Maria and Dande featuring Chiwoniso Maraire established him as a household name in Zimbabwe and got performance gigs at a local Harare pub called Jaz 105.

His fourth album was released in 2013 titled Tsiviriyo and the single Gotch Gotchi from the album won a NAMA award for the song of the year. In 2016 he gained massive fame and notoriety after releasing Watora Mari Featuring Diamond Platnumz. Watora Mari got heavy rotation on TV stations such as Trace and MTV Base and further increased his milestone as a singer.

The name Jah Prayzah comes from his first name Mukudzeyi which means Praise Him. The singer is also known for his signature band uniforms of military suites which have made him stand out in the industry.
