Who is Liya?
Liya, also known as Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola was born on April 4, 1999. She grew up in Osun State in Nigeria. Liya is a popular singer and songwriter from Nigeria who has garnered attention for both her voice and lyrics.

Before signing with the DMW label, Liya had a song out called "Be My Vibe" that she released right away while still under Vanzy Vanz's management.

She earned recognition after it was announced that she was the first woman to sign with Davido Music Worldwide. She already brags about having many tracks out there.

She attended the University of Ilorin for her studies in linguistics after completing both her primary and secondary education in Lagos State.

The singer, who had been a hopeful up-and-comer, was suddenly signed to Davido Music Worldwide, one of the most important record firms in the Afropop sector, and was in line for a breakthrough. Within days of Liya's contract, the captivating song "Melo," which was played that night at the club, was published and retrofitted with a video announcing her accession to the 30 Billion Gang.

After "Melo" gained attention and widespread approval, Liya withdrew into the background to deal with her life's changing circumstances and put together a first album that would solidify her place in the Nigerian music scene. Nine months after signing her contract, in August, Liya released Alari, a six-track EP without a lead hit.

One day after the album's release, the singer explains in an interview that "Alari is simply stating I am different." Liya is clearly working on her own plain, as evidenced by songs like "Odua" and the album's title track, where she skillfully combines desire and contented thankfulness into musicality, flowing pop choruses that are led by her high-pitched voice and breathless rhythm.

In her personal life, there is no clear information on whether she is dating or not. On the other hand, as of 2022, Liya through her music career has an estimated net worth is around $10,000 – $70,000.
