Olamide, a pioneer of Nigerian Afrobeats, is riding his own wave as he releases Unruly, his ninth studio album and a significant turning point in the career of the legendary musician from Nigeria. The 15-track collection of songs really lives up to its name, allowing listeners to experience Olamide at his best, unrestricted by usual rules. Lead singles "New Religion" and "Trumpet" established the tone for Olamide's current approach to life and unrestricted creativity, respectively, and served as the project's introductions.The album's lush soundscapes were created in partnership with Grammy Award-nominated producer P.Priime (Wizkid, Burna Boy), renowned super-producer Magicsticks (Asake, Davido), and Olamide's longtime partner Eskeez. Olamide offers genre-defying genius in this latest work. Olamide continues to be a key figure throughout the project, but he also assembles a strong superstar team, including BNXN, Asake, CKay, and Fireboy DML, to further spruce up the already exciting affair.
The song "Jinja" from the project also has enthralling graphics. Olamide's fierce rap and easygoing flow are abundant on the mesmerising track, which samples Ludwig van Beethoven's "Für Elise" and transforms it into a stunning afrobeats jam. The image unfolds like an exciting movie with interesting moments.
