Nigerian crooner Zinoleesky was born on November 21 1995 in the populous Lagos City. He attended Lively Kiddies Nursery for his early childhood education and later attended Boys Secondary School in Agege, Lagos. He got his West African Examination Certificate here.

The 27-year-old loved music from back in the day and being brought up in Lagos had so much effect on his musical journey. Lagos is by default Nigeria’s musical hub – it is where the magic happens and many artists born elsewhere moved to Lagos at some point to further their musical dream. The Nigerian street pop star was always thrilled by Kizz Daniel who he followed closely on Instagram. He teamed up with like-minded friends – Ibradosky and Lil Frosh – with whom he did freestyle music on social media.

Before long, Zinoleesky was on to cover songs of popular Nigerian music and this gave him a huge boost in getting closer to his career success. What inspired him most was when Kizz Daniel followed him on Instagram after liking one of his freestyle singles. Then, Davido had already spotted his talent and made a move to sign him into his label, DMW but he turned it down. The ‘Rocking’ singer chose to join Marlian Music label via Naira Marley in December 2019. He was signed alongside Fabian Blu, CBlack, and Mohbad. The quadruple first made a public appearance at the Marlian Fest that year.

Since then, his musical game changed. He became better and more popular especially after signing with Naira Marley’s label. He produced great music too the following year that his fan base grew bigger. He collaborated with Frosh who later got signed by Davido and Ibradosky. Other artists he collaborated with are Zlantan, Lyta and Naira Money.

Speaking a while back to DJ Cuppy on Apple Music's Africa Now Radio, Zinoleesky gave an interesting bit of his ambition. Back in the day when he did freestyle music and posted it on his socials, he never had a thought of breaking into the mainstream. He did it for fun until his followers took note of how good he was. In 2020, he took dropped a banger ‘MaPariwo’ which is a love narrative. It relates to the story of an affair that is meant to be kept private. ‘Caro’ featuring Naira Money kept the momentum in 2020.

In 2021, Zinoleesky did ‘Kilofeshe’ which he says the focus was on his thoughts and feelings. He opined that people were probably snoring on him so the song is about him expressing his thoughts and feelings and telling them who he is. When he looks at the impactful music he is making, he thanks Kizz Daniel for instilling confidence in him. One thing he is keen about is his lyrical flow and dance aspects in his hits. They are the hallmarks of his success in the industry because every fan wants a feel-good song.

For artists who’ve collaborated with him, they are all praises saying that the ‘Gone Far’ hitmaker ticks all the boxes. For instance, Mulla Rae featured Zinoleesky in his fiery hit ‘Good Life’ and said that he is always impressed by his music.
