Viola Davis is an African-American actress and producer, born in 1965 at St. Mathews, South Carolina. She is married to Actor, Julius Tennon.

Viola kicked off her career in 1996, when she starred in the popular show; NYPD Blue, however, she only got her taste of fame four years later when she played Nurse Lynnette Peeler in the City of Angels.

Since then, she has been on a roll, starring in some of the popular films and TV series.

So far, she has received 341+ nominations and won 149+ Awards these Include;

Let me make it simple, Viola is one of the very few performers to receive EGOT; an Emmy, a Grammy an Oscar and a Tony, she is also the only African-American to achieve the Triple crown of acting and the 3rd person to achieve both status. Wait that’s not all,

She was the First to be awarded a Primetime Emmy Award
She is the black Woman with the Most Nominations in History
