Drake - First Person Shooter ft. J. Cole (Review)

Ladies and gentlemen the song of the year is upon us. Drake and J Cole have teamed up to give us a banger titled First person shooter and we do agree with them when they say it’s as big as the superbowl. First person shooter starts off with an amazing vocal sample of “Look me in the Eyes” a classic soul track by Joe Washington with J Cole introducing the song then in comes Drake spitting some fire bars over the tune. J Cole is known for elevating every song he’s featured on and this was no different as he delivers with a cadence that effortlessly rides the rhythm. The one thing that stands out with this song is the references observed in the music video from recreating the popular American sitcom The Office to the Famous Spider-Man pointing meme and the Ronaldo and Messi Chessboard picture. First person shooter switches up for the second half where Drake goes all out with some hard bars as the video makes some Michael Jackson references which couldn’t be more timely as Drake currently ties with Michael Jackson for the male solo artist with the most singles that have topped on Billboard’s hot 100 list.
