Two African heavyweights, Morocco and Ghana lock horns at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo on Monday evening for their first game in Group C of the African Cup of Nations.

The Black stars of Ghana will be looking to win their fifth AFCON title while the Atlas Lions of Morocco will aim to end their 45-year wait for the continental crown, having last won it in 1976.

Morocco enjoyed a scintillating qualification campaign for the tournament as they finished top of their group. They were also unbeaten during the qualifiers in which they won four games and drew 2 to amass 14 points, 5 points ahead of eventual runners up, Mauritania.
