The iPhone 15 series is here and everyone is buzzing about it. Following the anticipation of it’s release on the 22nd of September 2023, hundreds of people queuing in stores in Dubai, India, Singapore and China were witnessed as everyone sought to upgrade their iPhone. Here is a little update of the latest iPhone’s features.
Over the years, iPhone has maintained the same design only opting for subtle changes such as removing the home button. Similar to the iPhone 14, the 15 series has a 6.1-inch size with aluminium rails and a glass back, the only difference is the colors as the 15 series is available in 5 colors, pink, yellow, green, blue and black that are a bit pale compared to the 14 series which has vibrant colors.
Apple always seems to impress with the durability and unique features and the iPhone 15 series is no less. Splash, water and dust resistance is one of its unique durability features. The phone also comes with a durable Ceramic Shield which is tougher compared to any other smartphone’s to protect the screen. Picture quality is something you never have to worry about with this phone as both front and rear cameras come with 48 megapixels which shoot in super high resolution.
Apple has also introduced a dynamic island to the iPhone 15 which was only available on the 14 pro series before. This is basically a display pixel that changes in size and shape with different types of alerts and notifications. Another newly introduced feature is the USB C charging cable which translates to faster charging and easier transfer of files. Previously, iPhones used its own proprietary lighting cable, however new EU rules have forced the company to adapt to the universal USB C charger.
Despite all these cool features, there has been concerns of overheating and criticism over the pale color schemes. Apple has since then released a new iOS update which according to them fixes the bugs solving the overheating problem. The new iPhone 15 price ranges from 180 thousand Kenyan shillings to 220 thousand Kenyan shillings. If you’re looking for something with a great camera, durability and great performance then the iPhone 15 is definitely for you.
