Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, Wizzy or Starboy has announced that he will be dropping a new music video this Friday, April 9, 2021.
The video is for the hit single 'Essence' in which Wizkid teamed up with fast-rising alte-R&B singer Tems.

Off the 'Made In Lagos' album, 'Essence' still ranks among the best performing singles and was among the best songs of 2020 on the list of former United States of America President Barack Obama.
While announcing the upcoming video, the most decorated Nigerian artist ever also shared a snippet of the visuals.
"Essence drops 9th," Wizkid tweeted alongside the video snippet.

'Essence' is a love song with some good vibes and infectious sound.
The songs audio posted on YouTube the very same day 'Made In Lagos' was officially unveiled - October 30, 2020, has garnered over 8.5 million views so far.
Wizkid has so far released three music videos off the 14-track album and 'Essence' will be the fourth.
Visuals already released are for the 'Ginger' song featuring Burna Boy, 'Smile' featuring H.E.R and 'No Stress'.
'Made In Lagos' album features guest appearances from British artists Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley, and Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Tems, Tay Iwar and Terri.
