Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress Tiwatope Savage, known professionally as Tiwa Savage has hailed men who continue to support women in their various ventures.

Tiwa Savage singled out fellow male artists Davido, Naira Marley and DJ Spinall for the support to her latest project dubbed 'Celia'.

The album was released on August 8. While releasing the album, Tiwa Savage said it was named after her mother and that it speaks to a modern African woman who still values her culture but is also exposed to the changing dynamics in the world.

"Celia is my mum’s name and I wanted to pay homage to her. She embodies everything that this album is," noted Tiwa Savage

In the 'Celia' album, Tiwa Savage has featured six different artists from across the globe among them English singer and songwriter Sam Smith, British rapper, singer, and songwriter Stefflon Don, young R&B singer Hamzaa as well as Nigerian singers Davido, Dice Alies and Naira Marley.

Tiwa Savage teamed up with Davido in the song titled 'Park Well' and she also did 'Ole' with Naira Marley.

"On behalf of #Celia special thanks to the men who support women like @davido @officialnairam1 @DJSPINALL and everyone that came out Continue streaming the Album #GoodMusic," Tiwa Savage tweeted on Wednesday.

The 12-track album has been performing well since it was released with several songs making it to top music charts globally.

So far, Tiwa Savage has released two music videos off the album for 'Dangerous Love' and 'Koroba' - songs that were released before the project was officially unveiled.

Born in Isale Eko, Tiwa Savage relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. Five years later, she began her music career doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige.
