Zambian music duo 4 na 5 have apologized to Zambians after claiming they were never paid for performing at an event graced by Nigerian pop star Fireboy DML recently.

The duo accused Aquasavana and Amigos – organizers of the concert – of overlooking Zambian artists and paying off “a foreign artist”.
“Sad how Zambian people treat fellow Zambians this way. How do we expect upcoming talent to be moving forward with this…they paid a foreign artist (FireBoy) and we were being ignored and went out with nothing.
“We were being put on this show and expected to gain the best of it. Sadly, we were not being given any cut of it…openly to say even a single coin after agreeing our performance amount,” the group said.

However, they have cleared the air on the issue saying there was miscommunication because they were dealing with a third party.
“We sincerely apologize to #Aquasavana and #amigos events for our earlier post. It has come to our attention that we were dealing with a third party and payment was made henceforth. We also apologize to our fans and the general public as the issue has been resolved with our third party agent. We kindly hope that Aquasavana and Amigos event will work with us for future events,” their apology read.
