Top Ugandan Reggae musician Maddox Ssematimba has advised fellow artists to create good relations between themselves if they are to make a successful collaboration.

Speaking during a recent interview, the 'Namagembe' hit maker noted that two artists are capable of giving their fans good music as long as they dig deep into what their audience wants.

"Collaborations depend on how you relate with people. How well do we bond and what message do we want to relay to our fans. Personally, I'm a writer who usually pays too much attention to the things I'm writing about,” he said.

Madoxx is one of the legends in the Ugandan music scene, but, he has has never hit the studio for a collaboration. He made it to the top solely.

Explaining why he is yet to collaborate with any artist, he said he is not big on collabos, adding that when the right time comes, he may work with other artists and drop something.

"A collaboration is not a big deal to me but it is good for those who love them because they use this chance to discover themselves. For me they will happen when the time comes. We just need to take it slow," he said.

In 2017, reports circulated of Maddox Ssematimba collaborating with Jamaica's top star, Tarrus Riley, however, that did not happen.
