MzVee Dismisses Rumors That She is From a Rich Family

Ghanaian songstress Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda popularly known by her stage name as MzVee has firmly dismissed the rumors going around that she is from a well-off family. 
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Stacy Amoateng on Stacy Amoateng’s 'Restoration,' the former LYNX Entertainment signee said that her life as a little girl was never easy. She said that her family struggled to a point where she had to share one room with her parents and five of her siblings.
 “I don’t know why people think I’m some dadabee child from some really rich home, eating with Queen Elizabeth and traveling all over the world. People do not know that life started really poor for my family. Six of us, including my parents sleeping in one room for six years of my life, and God worked for us until this point. At a point, we were able to get a bunk bed for my siblings and I. two people on each, and my parents slept on the floor.

"My mom didn't have an education. She came from the village. My dad grew up in the village as well, but he had an education. There were times where there was no food; they will leave the only food for me because I was the last born,” she said.
The ‘Come and see my mother’ crooner further said that even though their life was hard at that particular time, the struggle did not last forever. Her mother would cook rice and sell it to the people in the neighborhood. Being a good cook, she managed to make a considerable amount of money from the sales that saw them grown considerably.
