Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 22) Voting Starts

Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is one of the biggest music award platforms in Ghana. It takes place every year, but before the artistes are awarded, the public is given a chance to vote for their favorite artistes. This year’s voting was recently opened officially through both traditional and digital media platforms in order to reach most of the voters. The cut was created in 29 categories from 1000+ entries and 100+ nominees with each and every nominee seeking to be chosen as for being the most outstanding within their categories.

The VGMA has a 3-tier voting system made of the Board, the Academy and the public. The Board is reserved the honorary awards while the Technical Awards are 50% split between the Board and the Academy.
When it comes to the Public Awards, the Board has 30% voting power; the Academy has 30% voting power thus leaving the public with 40% majority voting power. Here the winner is heavily influenced by true fans who take part in voting.

The voting is lines are open for the true fans and the following are options t on how the voting takes place:
For the artiste of the year, you text letter A to 1767
For Vodafone song of the year, text letter B to 1767
For all other categories, text C to 1767 and follow the prompts Free Online Voting.
The 22nd VGMA is a Charterhouse production, partnered by TV3, KPMG, and DSTV and brought to you by Vodafone.
