Peruzzi Shades Golden Boy Over Contract Dispute, Label Boss Responds

No, it's not been settled. Peruzzi and former record label, Golden Boy Ent are still at loggerHeads over contract dispute. The news died off on social media for sometime and it was widely assumed that the case had been settled or at least both parties have moved on but recent turn of events suggest otherwise.

Peruzzi was a guest on the latest episode of the Nancy Isime show which aired on the 3rd of April and he did not hold back throwing several digs at his former label boss, Patrick.

Recall sometime is January 2020, Patrick came for Peruzzi and Davido accusing Peruzzi of breaching the contract with his label and also giving Davido his songs which belonged to the label. Patrick went ahead to leak Peruzzi’s version of Fia, a song which he claimed was recorded under Golden Boy and therefore according to Peruzzi’s contract, they (Golden Boy Ent) had ownership of the record.

Peruzzi responded with subtle digs here and there online but ultimately the matter was taken to court and very little was heard of it until yesterday when Peruzzi opened up about it during the Nancy Isime show of which he was the guest for the day.

In his words;

"You are still going on social media, it means it's not favouring you now. Me, I'm good... Me, I like court. He [Patrick] got me arrested one time now, I landed from Lagos to Abuja, I had a show and he got me arrested. You say you have an artist, right and that you have a contract and the artist breached the contract.

"That means if you go to court, you would win [the case] for sure right? So why don't you just go there?"

It didn’t take long for Patrick to catch his sub and respond via a tweet.

"Hey @Peruzzi_VIBES. OK I have kept quiet for a minute because ur lawyers begged I stopped social media until after the court case. I arrested u and you cried as usual, I have so much to leak but the contract is enough. you're Clown for real," Patrick tweeted. He also went on to share Peruzzi’s contract with Golden Boy Ent.

From the look of things, this case is far from settled and going this way, it'd sure linger for a while.
