The past year lit the Naija music industry with a dozen album releases and 2023 looks no different.

Some of the biggest names in the industry have already promised their fans something this 2023. The Naija music scene is eager for the first high-profile album that'll hit the airwaves and here, we share a list of top albums to expect this year.

Not long after the brothers re-united they released two new singles; ‘Jaiye’ and ‘Find Somebody’. One-half of the music duo, Peter Okoye aka Mr P on New Year's day told their fans that they would release a new album soon.

Mr P further revealed they held back plans to release a new album in 2022 because they had just reunited and wanted to tour the world first performing their old songs but this year, he confirmed a new Psqaure album will be coming.

Omah Lay hinted that his debut album, "Boy Alone," would have a deluxe edition dubbed "Boy Alone Deluxe (BAD)".

A few remixes and a couple of new records will be enough to appease the fans for this deluxe version which will be coming this year.

  • Tems

Tems shattered the glass ceiling in 2022 with significant international success with her music. She co-wrote ‘Lift Me Up’ by Rihanna, off the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack album.

Clearly, she had so much on her table and 2023 is the year she promised her fans a brand new album.

Davido hasn’t been on the light as much for the last year. Now, there are whispers that a new Davido album will be released in March 2023.

The singer teased a March 2023 album release on Twitter following his appearance with Trinidad Cardona and Aisha at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony. He shared a tweet asking his followers to be on the lookout for his comeback.

The multi-talented Nigerian rapper announced plans to release a new album and start international tours in 2023. The new album will serve as a follow-up to his fourth studio album "Something To Live For" which was released in 2021.

In an exclusive conversation with The Whistler, he discussed his objectives. The rapper, who has been slavishly working on new content for the New Year, told the publication that 2023 will be "a terrific year" for both him and his fans.

  • Ruger

After treating fans to ‘The Second Wave’ EP Deluxe edition last year, he is now ready to add to that with an album this 2023. The anticipated project will be Ruger's debut album and his fourth music project with the previous three being EPs.
