Just about a couple of months after Made in Lagos was released, Wizkid announced that a deluxe version of the album was coming and fans were not sure whether to get excited or not as Wizkid is not the best man to hold to his words so far as it concerns new music releases.

It took several months later before the arrival of Made in Lagos Deluxe was confirmed, a project which was preceded by a Justin Bieber addition to the international hit record Essence which originally had just Wizkid and Tems.

With Justin Bieber thanking Wizkid for allowing him to jump on what he referred to as the song of summer it now became more obvious that not only has Wizkid blown in the United States but his stock has also risen amongst very well renowned artistes in the country.

Though Essence remix was met with several mixed reactions with divided opinions on if a remix was needed or not, it would only take one week for the Bieber effect to shoot up the record in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with the record recently peaking at 13 just 3 places shy of a Top 10 a feat predicted to happen in the coming weeks.

Promoting the deluxe version of Made in Lagos via his social media page, Wizkid disclosed that the whole project sounds like sex and you wouldn’t exactly know what he meant by that until you plug in your headphones and take a listen to the album.

With an additional four tracks to the main project, no foreplay, Wizkid gets straight into the action with Anoti a groovy record that’ll instantly get you on your feet. An instant fan favourite laced by the beat genius, P.priime. Characterized by the baseline and percussions, Anoti doesn’t set the mood, it is the mood that set the tone for the listening pleasure to be further heightened by the Buju featured “Mood”, a record where both artistes were on parity, taking turns of dominance to allow an eargasm on  “Steady”, the lovers favourite bringing out the loverboy Wizkid who sings sweet nothings to his lover and keeps in her the know of his feelings for her. This one would pass for a perfect serenade.

Ending the project with Essence remix featuring Justin Bieber, the record gives off that cuddly after pleasure feeling derived from listening to the new Wizkid…
