Wizkid's Made In Lagos Album Nears 1 Billion Streams

It has been about ten months since Nigerian singer Wizkid released his highly successful 'Made In Lagos' album. The 14-track project was officially made available on October 30, 2020, and since its release, the album has been on an upward trajectory.
Featuring guest appearances from British artists Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley and Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Tay Iwar, Terri, and Tems, 'Made In Lagos' has topped several international charts including Billboard Chart where its currently on its 42nd week.

The project also has an intentional hit in 'Essence' featuring Tems that has so far been the standout and most popular record on the album. With the LP still doing well, the latest statistics indicate that it is on its way to hitting a billion streams in a year.
Data for the 10 months' performance shared by Wizkid's news fan page indicate that so far, it has over 837 million streams. Apple Music accounts for over a quarter of the total streams so far with 260.91 million streams followed by YouTube where the album has received 177.4 streams. Spotify and Audiomack also account for a majority of the streams with 176.92 million and 175.14 million streams respectively.

'Made In Lagos' album has also received 35.1 million streams on Boomplay and 11.5 million streams on Pandora.
Wizkid has already released the 'Made In Lagos (Deluxe)' edition which has additional four tracks including 'Essence (Remix)' featuring Tems and Justin Bieber and another additional collaboration with talented singer Buju.
