Adina Thembi Set to Host a Fibroids Awareness Concert in July

Ghanaian award-Winning songstress Adina Thembi has disclosed that she is soon to host a musical event that aims at raising uterine fibroids awareness among women in July 2021.
Speaking in an interview on 3Fm, The Lynx Entertainment signee said that her inspiration to embark on the ‘Beautiful inside’ campaign was after she battled fibroids in February. Other women with fibroids started reaching out to her to share her experience.

According to the songstress, the campaign aims to create a safe space for women to understand the condition, know the benefits of seeking treatment and deal with the trauma that comes with surgery resulting from uterine fibroids.
Adina hopes that the campaign will help most women who are in denial because of fear of surgery accept their situation and get treatment.  “When I noticed the bulge, it thought i was overweight from bad eating habits. So I ate right, worked out, but the bulge kept growing. When i went to the hospital, it was huge and needed operation promptly.

If you suspect you have fibroids, the most important thing to do is to go to a trusted health space and get a scan. Also, get different opinions and decide on the best possible course of action. Do not listen to all the weird stories. Don’t lose alive because you were too scared to save it,” She said.
Adina will be performing alongside other female artistes in the musical concert in July (the month of fibroid awareness) to raise money for the cause.
