Who is Pappy Kojo?

Pappy Kojo was born Jason Gaisie and is a Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife recording music star from Takoradi. Pappy Kojo also known as Fante Van Damme was born on 13 February 1989 to parents Kofi Badu and Rosemond Gaisie.

Early Life
He was born and raised in Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana. In his early life, he attended Ridge International School up until 2004 where he later left and went to Italy where he stayed with his mother and siblings.

Pappy Kojo showed his interest in and passion for music at an early age. He performed in rap events hosted locally, rapping to Obrafour, Tic Tac, Reggie Rockstone, and Lord Kenya. Obrafour, The Shady Aftermath Camp, and Michael Jackson are his main musical influences.
In 2014, he moved from Ghana to Italy, and his love for rap music only deepened. He started recording covers of well-known songs and uploading them on his YouTube page. This saw him appear as a talented musician.

He started recording his own music with Italian and Ghanaian music producers around the same period. The teenage rapper gained considerable notoriety as a result. He gained notoriety in the latter half of 2014 after he and Ghanaian artist Joey B worked together on a blockbuster hit song.
Eventually Pappy dropped "Realer No," his debut single, which also featured Joey B. In order to perform at the Big Brother finale, he went to South Africa accompanied by Joey B. He has also worked with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie,Edem and Jiggy, Hope,Kwesi Arthur,Kofi Mole among others.
As for his personal life, there is limited information on who the hip-hop star is dating or whether he has kids or not.

Awards
At the 2015 Ghana Music Awards, he received three nominations and took home a prize for the year's best hip-hop song. At the AFRIMMA Awards, he is also up for Best Newcomer in Africa.
He was recognized for his best photography in 2017 at the MTN 4syte Music Video Awards.
According to Wikipedia, Pappy Kojo is acknowledged as among the top-earning hip-hop musician in Ghana. He is estimated to be worth $5 Million.
