Wendy Shay Threatens to Sue Producer of Movie "Slay" For Using Her Song without Her Consent

Renowned Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has threatened to sue the producer of the currently Netflix trending movie “Slay” for using her songs in one of the movie scenes without her consent.
According to the Rufftown records label signee, Wendy Shay, it was not right for the movie producer to feature her song “All For You” without contacting her or her management team.

She further expressed her indignation on her Twitter handle where she wrote, “So, I watched this movie last night on Netflix, and my song ” All for You” was featured without my consent or that of my management. Producers of the movie it is a crime to use someone’s intellectual property without her consent. Kindly do the needful or I will see y’all in court”.
The Nigerian movie that talks about the current ‘slay’ girls who are constantly going after rich older men premiered on Netflix on the 26th of April 2021. The film brings out the effects that social media has on the current society.
