Azawi Unveils Title for First Single off Her Upcoming Album

Ugandan singer and songwriter Azawi has finally unveiled the title of her first single off her yet to be released album.

During the lock down, Azawi spent most of her time in studio and recorded a number of songs that she’s put together and will soon be released in form of an album.

During the song selection event, Azawi revealed that together with her team, they had a tough decision of selecting the title song out the 50 tracks she had recorded.

After hours of brainstorming and evaluating the songs, they settled on ‘My Year’ which will drop on May 7, 2021.

Weighing in on the upcoming album, Winnie Nwagi; her fellow artist under the label noted that fans are not ready for the massive project coming their way.

Azawi has been in the industry for over a year now and has several songs like; Repeat It, Lo Fit, Quinamino, Mbinyumirwa and Crazy Lover among others.

Azawi is also an established songwriter and has worked with a number of top Ugandan artists including; Eddy Kenzo, Vinka, Lydia Jazmine and Nina Roz among others.

Speaking during a past interview, Azawi revealed that she has the ability to write up to 3 songs a day.
