Rema Namakula Explains Why She Settled on The Ben for ‘This is Love’ Collabo

Top Ugandan vocalist Rema Namakula has revealed how she was able to hook up with Rwanda's The Ben for their viral collaboration dubbed 'This Is Love'.

'This Is Love' is a beautiful love song where the two proclaim love for each other. The video is scenic and was shot along the sandy beaches of Zanzibar.

Speaking during an interview with NBS Uncut, Rema noted that she has always wanted to work with an artist outside her culture and The Ben came in handy.

“To work with someone, I always look out for someone who perfectly blends with my voice. When I looked through it with manager Enoch (B2C manager), we found The Ben to be the perfect choice,” Rema Namakula said.

'This Is Love' was written by The Ben alongside renowned producer Nessim Pan Production who penned down Rema Namakula's verses.  The audio was produced by Nessim Pan Production.

Shortly after being released, the video went viral on YouTube in Uganda and Rwanda. So far, it has amassed over 2.27 million views on the platform.
