Diamond Speaks Out after Government Banned His Wasafi TV for Six Months

Wasafi media founder Diamond Platnumz has addressed the ban imposed on Wasafi TV by the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) over airing on inappropriate content featuring musician Gigy Money.

In an Instagram post, Diamond noted that his duty is to help people grow no matter the consequences, adding that thse in positions of power and influence, should endevour to do the same.

“Mwenyezi Mungu amekupa nafasi ili nawe kuwapa wenzio fursa waweze kujikwamua kimaisha....sio kila utaempa nafasi atakuletea Matokea Chanya....Usihuzunike, kubaliana na hilo na uendelee kutoa Misaada, kuwapenda na kuwaheshimu wote …” he captioned.

Meanwhile, a number of top Tanzanian artists have weighed in on the decision to ban Wasafi and musician Gigy money, noting that is too harsh and should be relaxed.

Tuache tabia ya kujificha nyuma ya kisingizio cha Maadili, wakati Tanzania ina Makabila 120 na Dini na madhehebu kibao na kuna watanzania wenye asili ya Ulaya, Marekani,,,,” Tanazain musiain Wakazi posted on Instagram.
