Alikiba Postpones Highly Anticipated Kigoma Concert

Tanzanian singer Alikiba has postponed hi much-awaited Kigoma homecoming concert that was scheduled to take place on July 31, 2020.
Kiba through a social media post stated that the concert will now be held on August 14 due to the sudden demise of former President Benjamin Mukapa last week.
According to Alikiba, he received the news by shock and it was only right for him to push forward the concert.

“Habari ndugu zangu Watanzania, kama wengi mlivyosikia, taifa letu tumepata msiba wa Baba na Mlezi, Mzee Benjamin Mkapa aliekuwa rais wa awamu ya tatu, ni msiba ambao nimeupokea kwa masikitiko, imenifikia ghafla sana, lakini ni mapenzi ya Mungu. Naomba Mungu ampumzishe mahali pema. Kutokana na msiba huu mzito nimeahirisha show yetu ya KIGOMA iliyokuwa ifanyike tarehe 31 ili kushiriki katika msiba huu wa kitaifa mpaka tarehe 14 August 2020,” posted Kiba.
Over the last few months, Alikiba has been heavil promoting the concert that seeks to be his first in Kigoma after eleven years.
He has already lined up artistes like Marioo to curtain raise.
The Kigoma show is set to be his first live show since Tanzania eased restrictions that had been put in place due to the corona virus pandemic.
