The Enugu office of the Independent National Electoral Commission was on Sunday attacked by unknown gunmen. National Commissioner & Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye in a statement on Monday confirmed that the incident happened at about 9:12 pm on Sunday, 15th January 2023 at its Enugu South office. One policeman was killed and another injured while trying to repel the attack [Nigerian Trubune].
