The Federal Government has confirmed that the 2023 general elections will go on as planned. This is coming in response to reports that INEC might be forced to postpone the elections due to the current security situation in the country. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed reaffirmed the Federal Government’s position to carry on with the election as scheduled and also, restated that the president is dedicated to ensuring that the will of the people prevails in the forthcoming elections.
