Country Wizzy Biography : New Songs, Career & Facts

Born and raised in Tanzania, Dar Es Salaam Ibrahim Ayoub Mandingo, better known as Wizzy, was born on November 15, 1990. He is the CEO of I Am Music and he is also signed to Bxtra Records, one of the biggest music powerhouses in Tanzania.

Country Wizzy usually cites his brother Babu Wa Kitaa and the Hip Hop Group, Wandago as people who influenced him to venture into the music industry.

Country Wizzy started recording in 2004 when he attracted the attention of Baucha Records. Due to his young age at the time, he decided to focus on his studies. In 2010 he debuted in the music industry with “You’re The One”

He kept releasing different rap blockbusters and established himself as one of the most prolific rappers in Tanzania. He became a household name in 2017 after releasing “Turn Up”, a sleazy party song that introduced American trap music to the Bongo Fleva music scene.

Country Wizzy Harmonize

Country Wizzy and Harmonize have been longtime friends. In 2020 Country Wizzy joined Harmonize’s Konde Gang record label. Country Wizzy and Harmonize have collaborated on different songs. Some of the songs they did together include “Watoto” “Far”and “Bedroom Remix”

“You” is a love song from Country Wizzy that was released in 2022 and in it, Country Wizzy laments and grieves after suffering a heartbreak from a girl she used to love. The song is produced by Ammy Waves and the video is directed by Directed Ivan.
