We Are Not Breaking Up: Sauti Sol Clarifies

Sauti Sol has issued a clarification on the viral reports of their break up. Speaking during a press conference at the Stanbic Yetu Festival, the band members pointed out that their statement on 'taking an indefinite hiatus' was taken out of context by the media.

According to the band's guitarist and producer Polycarp, the band was taking a short break before resuming activity in the music industry. He went ahead to state that all of the businesses set up by the band including Sol Generation record label will continue running as usual.

"There is a lot of misinterpretation of the statement we put out. It’s just a small hiatus. We just feel like we need a very small break. All the business, the record label will still be running and we just feel that we need to take this small break,” Polycarp stated.

Despite the assurance from the band members that they are not splitting up, their fans are not entirely convinced that the band will get back together after the break. The majority of music lovers continue to celebrate the band and its achievements across the 15 years that they have been on the music scene.
