Wangechi who has been away from the studio since the last time we heard her on Coke Studio Season 3, has released her first jam of 2016 No Limits, which is the biggest comeback since Nazizi this year.
No Limts is set to be the introduction song for her new upcoming album titled Ceilings, and judging by the introduction it’s going to be an amazing Album.
And while she’s very young, some of her achievements surpass even the most decorated of veterans. She has shared a stage with some of the biggest acts in the country and beyond among them Just A Band, Mafikizolo, Micasa, The villagers and Muthoni the drama queen at the "Blankets and wine" festival.
As part of the Coke Studio Season 3 she also featured in Africa’s first peace anthem alongside Dama Do Bling, Ali Kiba, Maurice Kirya, Ice Prince, Zwai Bala and American superstar Ne-Yo.
The Album is set to be released later in the year together with a short musical film which will be directed and shot by ‘High quality’ international cinematographers.
Wangechi’s management is currently searching for a good distribution and licensing company to handle the distribution of her Album and with rumors of the coming of Sony Music Entertainment to Kenya and East Africa, there’s no doubt she will be one of the few young artists that they chase after.
