Artists that crossed over to gospel in 2013

2013 has seen top Kenyan secular artists giving their lives to Christ in multitude and switching their focus to Gospel music.
With the rapid growth of the Kenyan Gospel industry, it doesn't look like it's about to slow down any time soon and listed below are some of the artists that have seen the light and crossed to Gospel music this year.

#1 Size 8 – she rose to become the most sought after female artists in Kenya in a span of 3 years beating other artists who had been in the game for a longer time. The news of her getting saved caught many by surprise but listening to her backstory and reason for change, her decision was definitely for her own good.

#2 Bamboo – He left Kenya a saved man but after going to the US he gave up on salvation and went back to secular music. This decision seems to have haunted him and this year again; he gave back his life to Christ. Let’s hope this time round he won’t back slide.

#3 Lady Bee - Bernice Nduku aka Lady Bee left her life of sin and decided to follow Christ. She has released two gospel tracks ‘Nakiri’ & ‘John 3:16’

#4 Q-Tasi – ‘Narudi ocha ocha, Narudi ocha ocha’ remember the song? Seeing the light he decided to follow Christ this year. Q-Tasi has been featured in the gospel track ‘Holiday Remix’ by Hope Kid.

#5 Chantelle – the Toklezea superstar came into the music scene and took over the music charts and clubbing scene with her first song. She later took a hiatus from the music scene, only for us to hear that she got saved. We all are anxiously waiting tohear what her gospel music sound ill feel like.

Whether the turn by some of the artists is a public stunt just to remain relevant or a genuine one; only God can judge but so far I salute their bold step and courage to make such a drastic change.
