MDUNDO MUSIC AWARDS: A Battle Of The Bands As Trio Elani Go Up Against Sauti Sol And H_art The Band!
14 May 2015
Young, funky and fresh afro-urban pop group Elani comprised of Bryan Chweya, Maureen Kunga and Wambui Ngugi hit the airwaves with their debut single 'Jana Usiku' that propelled them straight into the mainstream media managing to amass a large number of fans with their unique sound, style and soul!
Well, it is no surprise that they have been nominated in the Most downloaded Afropop with two of their songs, ‘Barua Ya Dunia’ and viral single, ‘Kookoo’!
Last year they walked away with the award for the best group and this year they could tap into the mystical powers of the musical universe and make history repeat itself; no one really knows for sure who will take the crown in this particular category seeing that it’s a game of musical mammoths: Sauti Sol, H_art The Band, Jaguar, Nameless, Avril and Victoria Kimani.
