Celebrated Kenyan musician Akothee has tied the knot with Denis 'Omosh' Schweizer in a glamorous wedding ceremony that was attended by the crème de la crème in the entertainment industry. The singer, who is credited for being part of the growth of the Kenyan music industry, coincided the wedding with her 40th birthday. The invite-only event took place at the luxurious Windsor Hotel in Nairobi.
Among the top celebrities who made it to the event include; media personality turned politician Jalang'o, celebrated singer Bahati, lifestyle content creator Diana Marua, media personality and influencer Azziad Nasenya (who was part of organizing the wedding), social media personality cum politician Karen Nyamu, The Wajesus family among many others. Top political figures led by Mama Ida Odinga, Millie Adhiambo, political commentator and scholar PLO Lumumba among others were also in attendance. The event was graced by the performance of the legendary Ohangla musician Tony Nyadundo and emceed by Dr. Ofweneke in collaboration with MC Jessy.
The mother of five has been active on the Kenyan music scene for over a decade. She made her debut in music in 2008 and ever since then, she has released a lot of tracks that dominated trending charts and won her a lot of recognition and awards. She has collaborated with top African artists including Diamond Platnumz, Linex Baraka, and Flavour among others. She also ranks among the most successful African musicians.
