FKF Premier League leader Nzoia Sugar will not play against second-placed Gor Mahia on Wednesday, 8th February 2023 as earlier planned. The postponement of the match stemmed from the mix-up in the fixtures as both teams were scheduled for other matches on the same date. Nzoia Sugar has been slotted to play against Kariobangi Sharks on the same date, while Gor Mahia is set to play against Tusker Fc.

Football fans were anxiously waiting for the Nzoia Sugar Vs Gor Mahia match which would have been one of the toughest matches of the 2022/23 season. This would have been a do-or-die match as Nzoia Sugar is leading the league with only one point margin with Gor Mahia.

Should Nzoia Sugar has won, then it would have strengthened its leadership of the league. Gor Mahia on the other hand would have shot to the top of the league if it had secured the victory. It is not yet determined when exactly the match will be played.

Currently, Nzoia Sugar is leading the league with 28 points followed by Gormahia with 27 points and KCB comes in third with 27 points. Tusker Fc will be fighting to elevate itself from the fourth position as it plays against Gor Mahia.
