It was an eventful weekend in the FKF Premier League where football fans were treated to a cocktail of triumph and disappointment. The 8 matches that were played on Saturday and Sunday created a drastic change in the league's standings.

Nzoia Sugar shot to the top of the league after beating Ulinzi Stars 2-1. Ulinzi Stars' Boniface Muchiri scored the first goal of the match in the 68th minute. Nzoia Sugar, however, made a surprising comeback and scored two goals in the 84th and 88th minutes courtesy of Brian Munyendo and Esecon respectively.

Gor Mahia climbed up to the second position after a goalless draw with AFC Leopards in the much anticipated Mashemeji Derby. KÓgalo continued with their gradual but steady rise in the league's standings. Ingwe, on the other hand, dropped to the 8th position.

Police Fc shot down Tusker Fc from the first to the third position in the league after a 3-0 match. The police's Victory was engineered by Elvis Rupia who scored a hat trick in the 1st, 14th, and 16th minute of the match. The impressive performance granted Police three points and improved their ranking to 7th place with 15 points.
