The last FKF Premier League matches of January 2023 will be played this weekend with each team hoping to end the month with victory. A total of 16 teams will be battling for the crucial three points across the league.

As per the current statistics, Tusker Fc is leading on the premier league table with 24 points, followed by Nzoia Sugar with 24 points, Gor Mahia with 23 points, KCB with 23 points, and finally, Ulinzi stars comes in fifth with 20 points. This weekend will be extremely crucial for the top five teams given the close ties in points. A slight change will create a huge impact on the standings.

The main match of the weekend will be the Mashemeji Derby where AFC Leopards will play against Gor Mahia on Sunday at 3:00 PM. K'Ogalo needs three points to break the tie with KCB and hopefully shoot to the top of the league. Ingwe, on the other hand, will be hunting for its fourth consecutive win after a rough start in the season.

Ulinzi Stars on Saturday at 3:00 PM will have a tough assignment of stopping Nzoia Sugar from taking over the leadership of the premier league. Ulinzi Stars will also need an elevation from the fifth position and a victory will go a long way in bringing them close to the top of the league.

Tusker Fc will play against the Police on the same date as they fight to protect their number one slot in the league. Police will be returning from beating Nzoia Sugar 2-0, and will be hoping to extend similar treatment to Tusker Fc.
