Black Sherif is the current rave of the moment in Ghana but his success is not by accident but by sheer hard work. Following the successful launch of his debut album, ‘The Villain I Never Was’, he says that his life as an artist is about learning.

He told Daily Graphic in a recent interview that he dedicated his career to learning from the best and replicating it in his music. One of the things he has learnt so far is the power of consistency.

“Getting to where I am is hard work and consistency. I am always learning from great musicians to add to my knowledge. The only way I can improve on what I do is to challenge myself and break my own record,” he states.

He treated his fans to powerful singles like ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ and ‘Soja’ which preceded the release of his debut album. With his newly-found fame beyond Ghanaian borders, Black Sheriff says he deserves it because he puts a lot of effort into his songwriting and production too.

The pressure to keep up with good music also is a huge factor in his success story because he works hard to maintain this bar. He is tirelessly working on music videos for his new album.
