Celebrated Zambian musician Y Celeb has disclosed that he is no longer signed to Nexus Music Entertainment. He was affiliated to the label for a while but he cut ties in a twist of events.

In an interview with Edna of ZMB Talks, the rapper stated that he previously signed with Nexus Music because he wanted to observe what was going on in the label.

He further noted that he was the one who cancelled the deal with Nexus by terminating his contract. He adds that he is now signed by his record label.

Further, Y Celeb called out XYZ CEO Bobby East claiming that he ignored his request to loop in a verse on the former’s song dubbed ‘Exeh’. Y Celeb alleged that calls to Bobby for this request went unanswered.

He also hit out at Bobby East for allegedly taking his song ‘Input’ and giving it to Nez. In addition, the Copperbelt rapper claims that some of his verses on the song were cut to make room for Slap Dee.

Slapdee was also one of the artists that the former member of the 408 Empire called out, claiming that King Dizzo's line on ‘Input’ was out of character with the song's idea. He also stated that if it weren't for him, Slapdee would have been out of date the previous year.

A bitter Y Celeb alleged that he did so much for Slap Dee to stay relevant in 2021 but it all ended in disarray for him.

When asked if he would be interested in appearing on KB's Diary series, the rapper plainly said he wouldn’t be interested because ‘The Diary’ by KB has been passed by time. Y Celeb noted that his thinking behind ‘Diary Yamupola’ was inspired by Tiye P’s castigation of Chef 187 in ‘My Diary 11’ released late last year.
