Talented South African artist DJ Maphorisa takes the award of being one of the most versatile music producers in the world today. Christened Phori by his fans, he is able to produce any major South African music genres with ease.

His status as a go-to co-producer is undeniable and he has always had a good taste in hip-hop, his Amapiano dominance in the music industry notwithstanding.

Just recently, the acclaimed producer gave a notion that some would have deemed a smart move for South African hip-hop. He asked his Twitter followers if they would be interested if he working on a single with some of South Africa's biggest hip-hop names such as Nasty C, A-Reece and Emtee.

“Am I allowed to put Nasty C, Emtee, A-Reece and kwesta in the same booth? Can I do data? he posed.

In response to DJ Maphorisa’s tweet, Emtee expressed interest in working with other hip-hop artists on a single.
