Rickman Moves Back to Uganda from Sweeden, Vows to Concentrate on Music

Ugandan artist Rickman Manrick has decided to give up his life abroad to focus on his music career, settling permanently in Uganda.

Rickman was born and raised in Mengo, but spent most of his adult life in Sweden juggling roles as a music artist, leisure teacher/educator, personal trainer for kids with ADHD, active professional football player signed to Sävedalen IF in Gothenburg, Sweden and a businessman.

In a post on social media, Rickman revealed that he will be leaving all that behind promising to permanently stay in Uganda and concentrate on his music career.

“You have been asking me for music and I can now say, I’ve relocated back to Uganda to concentrate on giving you hits after hits!! No more ghosting on y’all!! I will need your support and love through this journey!! RICKMAN MANRICK 2022,” he wrote.

His girlfriend; media personality Sheilah Gashumba let his fans know that Rickman's move will see his fans get new music from him every six weeks.

“Finally, y’all can stop saying that I stopped Rickman Manrick from releasing music! Rickman Manrick has officially relocated back to Uganda!! New music every 6 weeks!! Now who is ready,” she posted.

Rickman Manrick’s rapping career kicked off in 2017, but he released his first Ugandan track titled ‘Naki’ in 2018.  In 2019, he topped charts with his banger 'Bango'.

Since then, he hasn’t stopped even for a bit. Many of his songs such as ‘Basumbuyi’, Tusimbudde ft.  Artin Pro, Good Night ft. Lydia Jazmine, Tunyumirwe, ‘Okilinamu Obuzibu’ are influenced by Uganda’s slang culture.
