“Finally got my 100,000 Milestone YouTube Award…Thanks to each and every subscriber,” he told his fans on Facebook.

The award comes after a daunting 2021. Macky found himself in a political storm after supporting PF party in Zambia’s August 2021 Presidential polls. Just around the same time, the ‘Alabalansa’ hit maker released a one-of-a-kind hit ‘Voices in my head’.

For the second half of 2021, Macky 2 was all about leaving a positive legacy and this is when he released the reflective song. It is deep, poetic and challenges one’s inner demons.

Macky 2 said he was not bothered at all by talks by the public. What kept him on toes are the voices in his head.

“I am my biggest critic…Because I am the 1 who has to go home and look myself in the mirror,” he captioned the song's teaser.

He goes ahead to say that, “The hardest person to convince and gain approval from is me. The voices in my head are louder than any of you muma comments.”
