Pia Pounds Explains Why She Wasn’t Keen on Doing Collabos Before 2021

Ugandan artist Pia Pounds has opened up on why she hadn't invested much in collaborations until last year (2021) when she started featuring artists in her songs.

Speaking during an interview with Galaxy FM, the 'Tupaate' hit maker explained that she was on a self-discovery journey and needed time to identify the direction she wanted to take with her music.

"I was still learning to support myself as an artist. I was in the process of establishing myself because when you are to do a collabo and you aren't great of an artist or haven't figured out your right genre, you can't make it. I hadn't yet figured myself out when it comes to collaborations," she said.

Now that she is a fully established artist with a huge fan base, Pia Pounds has promised her fans that she is willing and ready to work with their favorite artists because she is confident and has what it takes.

"Right now, I'm ready and going to give my fans just that. The collaborations are quite many because right now I feel my fans know who I am. They now understand and could hear and tell my voice in a song," Pia Pounds said.
