2022 I’ll be the Definition of Quality over Quantity – Pompi Promises Fans

He is stylish, humble and highly artistic and his music speaks to this much. Call him Pompi. Through his art, he has given Zambia’s gospel music a new feel and style with his Hip-hop pick.

2021 was a great year for him. His hit singles ‘Luyando’ and ‘Kwacha’ did him a lot of justice not to mention his wedding to fellow gospel artiste Esther Chungu. In 2022 though, Pompi is promising his fans nothing but quality music.

He says that he takes time to do music because he is focused more on quality than quantity.

“I know I take my time to produce new music but I am working on being the definition of "quality over quantity",” he told his fans in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

Usually, Pompi’s songs highlight personal and societal issues plaguing people. But it is his packaging and delivery that stand out over and above all else. Last year, Pompi said a collaboration between him and celebrated Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol is in the offing.

Pompi disclosed that his music collabo with Sauti Sol is “long overdue”. While responding to a question by ZMB Talks on whether he listens to Sauti Sol, Pompi said that he should be doing a collabo soon.
