Amapiano songstress Lady Du is grateful for the gift of life and is now focusing on a great year ahead after a successful 2021.

She recently told her fans to have a moment of reflection and know that they have not failed in life because 2022 is another season to start afresh.

“It’s the end of 2021, reflect, remember that you have not failed, you get to start again next year, spend the last days of December writing down all the things you want next year. I am happy with how my life changed, I pray for the same for each and every one of you. Let the light that shined on me shine on you too,” she posted on her Instagram page.

Lady Du’s gratitude is justified given that she battles a medical condition involving her lungs. A few weeks back, she narrated that she is a miracle baby. That is how doctors described her after birth because her lungs are problematic.

The ‘uZuma Yi Star’ singer said that due to her under developed lungs, she isn’t supposed to work in the music industry so as not to strain her lungs. Her body mass is also too huge for her lungs according to doctors. But she still entertains scores of fans with her music.

She told her fans to appreciate her effort any time they see her on stage performing because ‘I give it my all’.

A few days ago, she suffered a heat stroke and was unable to breath. Her body went into shock making it difficult to walk or breathe.

Doctors gave her a complete bed rest and she imparted a powerful lesson to people on the importance of family.

“In all of that I realised how important it is to be closer to my family. Everyone carries on with their lives and won’t even notice you’re not there or there’s no activity to even ask. I’m in a different space,” she posted.
