South African singer Prince Kaybee has described his new album ‘The 4th Republic’ as a ‘fumble’ all thanks to the Amapiano wave sweeping Mzansi.

He made the revelation after a fan asserted online that the album that was released in March was not pushed as it should.

“Yeah it was fumbled, but part of it is the dominance of Amapiano, majority people want Amapiano. I was playing at a club two weeks ago and a girl approached me asking when am I playing it and also why am I not dancing like Waffles,” he tweeted.

With a lot of finality, Prince Kaybee said that he is not interested in doing an Amapiano song even as demand from it soars. He categorically stated that he does not depend on music for sustenance.

Kaybee retorted that he does music because it keeps him busy in the studio.

“In SA maybe, but I no longer do music to survive so it doesn’t really affect me. Its just the love that's keeping me in studio,” he added.

Despite the absence of reciprocation, Prince Kaybee stated he enjoyed the battle and accepted it as a challenge because of his love for music. He describes this kind of pressure as a big driving force competitively adding that it piques his interest.

"If you guys don't like a song, we just move on to the next and continue like that," he divulged.
