Wizkid Scores Double Nomination at the 64th Grammy Awards

Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid has just been nominated in two categories for the 64th Grammy Awards. 

The Global hit record Essence was nominated for Best Global music performance while his August released Made in Lagos album deluxe edition is nominated for Best Global Music Album.

With the double nomination totalling his career tally to four, Wizkid has become the second most nominated Nigerian artist in the history of the Grammy awards with four nominations behind Femi Kuti ahead who has five nominations.

Burna Boy, Femi Kuti and Made Kuti are the other Nigerians who also earned a nomination. Burna Boy was nominated for the Best Global Music performance courtesy of his collaboration record  “Do Yourself” with Angelique Kidjo while Femi and Made Kuti earned a nomination with their collaboration album Legacy+.
