Eddy Kenzo Crowned Best Male East African Artist at 2021 AFRIMA Awards

Celebrated Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has been crowned the Best Male East African artist at the 2021 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The Big Talent boss had been nominated alongside East African music heavy weights; Diamond Platnumz, Rayvany, Harmonize, Darassa and Ali kiba from Tanzania, The Ben, Meddy from Rwanda, Kenya's Sauti Sol, Bensoul and Nviiri and Lij Mic from Ethiopia.

In his appreciation post, Eddy Kenzo gave a special shout out to famous producer Nessim Pan Production for the job well done on his popular single 'Weekend'.
"Congratulations to all of us my people thank you. Producer Nessim thank you brother. It’s the ‘Weekend’,” Eddy Kenzo tweeted.

“My people it’s your boy Eddy Kenzo and I am here to give a big shout out to Afrima. Thank you for rewarding me as the best East African artist of 2021. Thank you so much to the fans, to all the people in my category, all nominees, all East African artistes, African artistes and to all Ugandan artistes who represented Uganda in Afrima,” he said.
This year, Tanzanian performed dismally at the awards as no top artist emerged victorious in any of the categories.
