Producer Kusseim Claims he Invented the Trending Afro-beat Sound in Uganda

Popular Ugandan music producer and talent manager Kuseim Knots alias Fresh has claimed that he invented a new type of Afro Beat sound that is currently being adopted by Ugandan artists.

In an interview with NBS AFter5, the Africa Bureau of Music boss claimed that he introduced and popularized the Afro Beat music genre that is now appreciated by top Ugandan musicians.

"My biggest music project was the famous Mbilo Mbilo songs by Eddy Kenzo. Those beats gave birth to the Afro Beat music genre that you hear right now in Uganda. It is a beat with a slower tempo," Kusseim said in an interview.

Kusseim is the brains behind Eddy Kenzo's songs like Dagala, Soraye among others. He also worked on trending artist Azawi's top songs like Slow Dancing, Repeat It and Quinamino.

Currently, 'Tupaate' which he produced for Pia Pounds is trending country wide, giving the fast-rising artist a huge mileage in her music career.

On several interviews, Pia Pounds has always credited Kusseim for her huge breakthrough and massive support since she started mainstream music.
