Major League DJz Show in Harare Cancelled Last Minute

South African music duo Major League DJz on Saturday suffered a huge setback after their sold out concert in Harare, Zimbabwe was shut down by police a few minutes before it started.

The two has already landed in the country and were expected to perform at the capital, but the police shut down the event.

According to the duo, they were not told why the show was put off.

“Zimbabwe we are put in the dark, Just like you are. We trying to find why they have shut down the whole show and what’s the plan moving forward. Will update you as we find out more,” they posted on Saturday night.

In a statement on Sunday, Major League DJz apologized to fans for the inconvenience, adding that as a way of making it up to them, they are planning a free show in Harare on December 22, 2021.

“We want to sincerely thank each & every person that came out to our show at Palm Estate in Harare last night. We unfortunately couldn't get on stage to perform due to the police not allowing us to. This message is to assure fans that we will be back in December for a free show to make up for what happened.

“The date we looking at is the 22nd of December, we are in talks with the promoter & local officials to make sure it happens. Full details on venue & date to be confirmed once we have all the required approvals,” the group posted.
