Q Twins ‘Ziyakhala’ ft. Kabza De Small: New Music South Africa

Charming South African musical twins Q Twins (Viggy and Virginia) have a new song out ‘Ziyakhala’ featuring the legendary Kabza De Small.

‘Ziyakhala’ is a creative Amapiano hit enchanting the audience with the first impression that is Q Twins’ salacious voices.

Q Twins are products of Idols SA season 15 – although their exit was marred by controversy. Talk had it that there was a showdown behind-the-scenes with claims of bullying and threats forcing the twins to withdraw from the competition.

Virginia unfortunately was elbowed out of the competition because she couldn’t get enough votes to sail her to top four. As a result Viggy opted out saying she could not do it without her sister.

Nonetheless, they took with them crucial music lessons and have been perfecting their art since then. DJ Tira signed Q Twins to his label Afrotainment where they recorded their first album – Gift Of Love – with 11 tracks.

They wrote the lyrics when South Africa was on lockdown. Before then, they came back to the limelight with ‘Hamaba ‘which was well-received and released a second hit ‘AmaGifts’ and later ‘Show Me’ featuring Jaziel.

‘Gift of Love’ album speaks about self-love adding that they faced a lot of criticism and negativity in their musical journey. They used this experience to come up with the 11 tracks in their debut album.

What’s exciting about their music is you never know who is singing because they sound alike. “It’s always hard for our fans to know who is singing in our songs but that is the thing we love about ourselves; keeping the people guessing. It is an exciting part about us.”
